Can I add compare multiple metrics on the same chart?
At this time, no.
Each market metric is designed to be viewed on its own chart, using a scale and structure that best reflects what that metric measures.
Different metrics (such as prices, sales, inventory, or days on market) behave very differently and require distinct chart logic to be interpreted correctly. Allowing any metric to be swapped in as an overlay on another could create misleading comparisons or unintended conclusions.
For now, we focus on presenting each metric clearly and consistently. We continue to evaluate additional visualization options, including ways to responsibly display multiple metrics together, based on user feedback and data integrity standards.
How can I compare two market metrics instead?
We recommend:
-
Switching quickly between charts to compare trends over the same time period
-
Using side-by-side charts when telling a market story
-
Pairing a market metric with the mortgage rate overlay when discussing affordability or demand drivers
Using Market Review to compare several sparkline trends at one time
This approach ensures each metric is shown in a way that reflects what it actually measures.
