For as much as we love Apple products (and we really do!), Safari makes us sad because it doesn't play nice with printing. While Domus dashboards have their own 'print' button, that function relies on the printing capabilities of whichever browser you're using. Most browsers take printing hints from our underlying code, but Safari does not. So you will likely find yourself needing to change the orientation from portrait to landscape, or visa versa. You also may have an issue where a dashboard that's supposed to fit on a single page carries over the smallest amount onto a second page. In that case, there are two options to pursue:
- Scale the page in the print dialogue. The amount you'll need to scale will vary based on your default settings, but it's usually around 95-96%.
- Install Chrome or another browser on your Mac. Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all work well.
In rare cases, you may also see a second page in the print preview dialogue, but the page itself is empty. If that happens, either print it and ignore the empty page, or only print 'Page 1'.
