What it means when the chart vertical axis shows duplicate small numbers

Have you ever seen a chart that looks like this?



If so, don't worry, the chart isn't wrong.  Look closely and you'll see that even though the y-axis repeats the numbers, the pop-up on the chart is correctly showing the number of listings for that month.  This happen when the data set being returned is "too small" for the chart.  When you come across this, it's a good indication that you should try to include more data in your analysis.  You can do this by expanding your time period or the filters that were used to generate the chart.  Remember, if you can include more data in your analysis, you'll get a more stable economic conclusion.
