Compare any time period

Compare any time period

You already know that Market Review and Market Insights let you to analyze listing data in any month or time period. But did you know you can also choose any time period for comparison? You’re no longer limited to standard month-over-month (MoM) or year-over-year (YoY) views.

Whenever you see an upside-down triangle next to a value on a dashboard, that value is a changeable filter. Just click the triangle—or the text beside it—to select a different period. All metrics and charts will update automatically based on your new selection.

The most common way clients use this feature is when a past buyer asks how much their home has appreciated since they purchased it. In that situation, you can keep the main month set to the current month, and simply change the comparison month to the month when the client either went under contract or closed on their home.

Using the contract month can often be more insightful, since the price the buyer offered reflects the economic conditions at that time.
